Wedding Block Rooms

All wedding block rooms have been booked!

Complimentary kayaks are available to use from the direct access point on the Galien River.

There is a heated, covered pool and hot tub for guests to enjoy.

Firepits and cozy fireplaces are available throughout the property.

Lake Michigan and it’s amazing sunsets are only one mile away.

The organic farm features a hoophouse, spiral garden, seasonal produce and flowers.

Complimentary bikes are available for guests to use on the 30 acre property and trails.

Friendly chickens are raised on the farm for fresh eggs.

Goldberry Woods hatches and releases Northern Bobwhite Quail – a native ground bird that has been almost completely wiped out in SW Michigan.

There are many indoor areas to relax. There is a  large selection of books, games, puzzles, and movies to enjoy throughout the weekend.

The grounds feature an organic fruit orchard and peaceful chestnut grove.

The farm uses organic, permaculture practices.

The barn venue has a loft area with a pool table, vintage arcade games and lounge.

Information for Wedding Guests staying at Goldberry Woods

Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in: 4:00 PM Thursday, October 9th
  • Check-out: 11:00 AM Sunday, October 12th
  • Earlier check-in may be possible if rooms are ready, but cannot be guaranteed

Meals Provided

Since we’ve rented the entire Inn, the venue won’t provide their usual breakfast service. Instead, we’re providing:

  • Thursday: Dinner provided
  • Friday: Rehearsal brunch at the Barn (10:00 AM) – all guests welcome
    • There will also be light breakfast food available at the Inn earlier in the morning.
  • Saturday: Continental breakfast at the Inn kitchen, plus evening reception dinner
  • Sunday: Continental breakfast at the Inn kitchen

Kitchen Access: Inn and Cottage guests are welcome to use the kitchen space and refrigerators for your own meals. An outdoor gas grill is also available. There are no restrictions for bringing alcohol.

Important Rules & Policies

Safety & Security:

  • No candles allowed (electric candles are fine)
  • No fireworks on property
  • No firearms in any buildings (must remain locked in vehicles)
  • Security cameras monitor outdoor common areas
  • Smoking prohibited in guest rooms ($500 cleaning fee if violated)
  • Smoking permitted on outdoor decks and grounds only (use provided receptacles)

Pets:

  • NOT allowed in the Inn
  • Well-trained pets welcome in cottage, barn venue, and hoop house.
  • $20 per pet per day fee
  • Owners responsible for cleanup and any damage
  • Pets must be crated when left alone

Liability: Guests are financially responsible for any property damage caused by their group, including potential loss of revenue from cancelled future reservations.

Our Wedding Party Accommodations

We’ve reserved the Barn venue, entire Inn, and River’s Edge Cottage for our wedding weekend. Please note that two additional cottages and two vintage campers on the far side of the property will house other (non-wedding) guests, so you may occasionally see them around the pool, farm, or trails.

We’ve secured both the entire Inn and the River’s Edge Cottage for our wedding weekend. Since these bookings were made under our names, family members wishing to stay in either location will need to reserve and pay through this website.

Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t wait too long to book your spot!

The amazing bed in American Hornbeam dramatically reaches towards the ceiling and fills the room. This second-floor room has cathedral ceilings, carpeted floors, and access to a large deck, which can be shared with Sassafras if the divider is moved.

This room has custom king-size bed with luxury linens, sitting room with two twin beds, two-person shower, gas fireplace, leather chair, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi, USB hubs, hairdryer, and a streaming TV. This suite can sleep up to 4 people and is handicap accessible.

Guests can also utilize the common bathroom which features more accessibility and a shower with bench seat, if desired., gas fireplace, leather chair, desk, table with chairs, ceiling fan, Wi-Fi, USB hubs, hairdryer, and a large streaming TV with satellite. This room can sleep up to 4 people and is handicap accessible.

This first-floor room is accessible with large doorways and grab bars in the bathroom, but it is not fully ADA compliant.

Cedar Log Suite

The Cedar Log Suite offers a secluded hideaway in the lower level and is the largest room at the inn. This spacious 800 sq. ft. suite features a separate family room with two leather sleeper sofas for additional sleeping space (with comfortable gel-foam mattresses; perfect for families), a large streaming TV, gas fireplace, multiple ceiling fans, Wi-Fi, USB hubs, hairdryer, a table/chairs area, and a private walk-out deck.

The spacious bedroom has a four-poster bed made of full-size cedar logs with a king-size mattress and also features a sitting area with sofa and chairs. The private bath features a double whirlpool tub and shower.

This suite can sleep 2-6 people and is only accessible by a flight of stairs.

River’s Edge Cottage

This sprawling mid-century ranch cottage along the Galien River is where the bride’s siblings are staying, and you’re invited to join them. The bunk room is still available in this stunning 4-bedroom retreat with its own yard and incredible river views.

Queen Bedroom

Queen bedroom premuim bedding, aple natural light, and convenient en-suite-style bathroom access. The private hallway bathroom features a full tub/shower combination.

Bunk Wing

This spacious bunk room takes up a full wing of the house. It has four custom built-in twins (the two lower convert to kings, allowing for 6 guests), foosball, and a game table for four. This room has it’s own private entrance, views of the Galien River, and a dedicated stylish retro bathroom.
